Have You Seen Our E-Newsletter?

Introducing The River Renewer - RiverRenew's e-newsletter! Read the first edition and sign up to receive email updates.

Earlier this year, RiverRenew launched a new program e-newsletter, The River Renewer! Our goal is to make the RiverRenew program an enriching community experience that helps all of us learn more about the value of water and the important role we all play in preserving our natural resources.

The River Renewer offers a look at "what's boring and more" for RiverRenew and the Alexandria community.

Each edition will feature program updates, upcoming events and behind-the-scenes stories to help residents learn more about this important investment.

You can read the inaugural issue, published in February, here. Be sure to sign up for our mailing list and keep an eye on your inbox for the next edition!

Behind "What's Boring and More"

The term "boring" has several meanings for RiverRenew. A boring is a small, deep hole in the ground that allows us to conduct soil sampling to understand subsurface conditions. RiverRenew will also use a tunnel boring machine to build the tunnels as it bores through the ground, about 100 feet beneath the surface.
