West Street temporary lane closures

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be installing equipment in manholes along West Street to monitor flows in the sewer system.

In order to safely install this equipment, one lane at a time along West Street between Cameron Street and King Street will be closed temporarily. Lane closures are planned for Monday – Friday from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. so that they won't affect the rush hour commute.

Can I watch?

Of course! But please keep a safe distance from all equipment/workers and be mindful of your surroundings.

How many lanes will be closed?

One lane at a time. Temporary closures will affect north and southbound lanes of West Street between Cameron Street and King Street.

Will this affect traffic?

Yes. Some delays along West Street may occur during the temporary lane closures.

When will it happen?

Weekdays 9 a.m.–3 p.m. until mid-September. You can expect to see crews at the site to maintain the equipment once a month through September 2019.

Can I help?

Yes. To keep our workers safe, please obey all traffic laws and speed limits in the work area.

Is it safe?
